Soviet Unterzögersdorf

Funny game with great soundtrack and russian dialogues (spoken!!!). Graphics reminds me of Darkseed 2, style reminds me of...I dont know what. :P

From developer's website:

Soviet Unterzögersdorf (pronounced «oon-taa-tsee-gars-doorf») is the last existing appanage republic of the USSR. The enclave maintains no diplomatic relationship with the surrounding so-called «Republic of Austria» or with the Fortress «European Union». The downfall of her motherland -- the Soviet Union -- in the early 1990s had a particularly bad effect on the country’s economic situation.

It is a great challenge to secure survival for the small but proud confederation. External reactionary forces put the country in danger. It’s a lack of respect due to a morally corrupted and perhaps even non-existing unity of the peoples. The goal of a glorious future is almost unreachable.

But there are a handful of people who don’t give up on a vision for a better tomorrow. Let us tell you the stories of the brave citizens in the beautiful little country of Soviet Unterzögersdorf.

* BUMP! *

Warning to anyone playing SU: this is not typical Lucasartish XXI-century adventure game, YOU CAN DIE HERE. And you can die often, so save often, look at every object before touching it and don't take it if there's a hint saying that you shouldnt.

Voice acting is top-notch, especially if you understand Russian (I understand it a bit). And even if you dont there's good chance youll laugh your head off listening to comrade Gomulka speaking.

monochrom is looking for some new music for the sequel of "Soviet Unterzögersdorf". So if you want to see your composition inside a computer game you can send it to them.

Deadline is October 31, 2007!

This game is quite crazy, but in a pretty good way. There's a South Park feel to the way photographs are cut together, and it has fantastic sarcastic humour. One of the more original adventure games I've seen.

I have to say that it is not my genre at all. When I sit down and play a game, I want to be swept into a cartoony world with lots of weird things going on. I REALLY dont like it when games are made photorealistic. Sorry.
