Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator - Case 7

Postby eMTe » Wed Aug 13, 2008 22:06

It's Christmas Eve in Rome. What should be a joyful occasion becomes a senseless tragedy as a priest is murdered in cold blood. Back home in Philadelphia, Ben Jordan receives a phone call from the man accused of the crime, begging him to go to Rome and clear his name. Seeing this as a chance to prove his career choice to his disapproving family, Ben calls up his friends and starts another investigation. However, Ben doesn't realize that this will be the toughest case he's ever had, as many questions will be answered, and some lives will be lost...

Horrible Grundislav's mistake (cause it's not a bug) creates dead end. Cant say more without revealing plot and puzzles. I'll just check ags forums and see if this is being corrected.

I'm not through with the game yet, but I can certainly say that it is harder than the first Ben Jordan games which means there are some real puzzles...

Atmosphere is great as always and the story goes on (I still consider the Ben Jordan games as one big story). I'm really curious how Grundislav will solve the whole plot in the last game.

And finally I have to say that Grundislav made a big advance when it comes to creating background graphics. Thumbs up for this as well as for the great music (which was made by Peter Gresser).

I finished the whole game now and I have to say that the end sequence is one of the meanest cliffhangers I ever saw in an adventure game. Now I can't wait to play "Ben Jordan 8", but I guess I have to wait about one year, before this will happen... :cry:

Nonetheless this was the best Ben Jordan adventure so far. There were some real puzzles and I think for the first time I didn't get the full amount of possible points (I think I had 100 out of 106 at the end), which means I might have missed some things.

@eMTe
I didn't encounter a dead end. Can you send me a PM and tell me what horrible mistake it was that made it impossible to finish the game?

What's with dead end? Were you able to reproduce it?

I still don't know what you are talking about. There wasn't a dead end for me and you didn't tell me yet what you did that created a dead end. I was able to go through the whole game without any problems...

Ok, now there was a PM...

I checked it and the bug didn't occured when I did what you did. I could leave the place, go to any other place and return to it after that without any problems.

I you like I can send you a savegame that is exactly at that position where you reached a dead end.

Well, I dont quite remember the dead end thing, but now another strange thing happens and box in Bianchi's office causes trouble again. Mysterious issue, worth calling BJ to help.

Ill check AGS forums this time and write everything, I cant believe Im the only one having trouble.
